Gas Fridges are used by full time off-grid home owners, part time vacation home owners, weekend get-a-way cabins, hunting camps, and in all types of remote places. Some users have grid power and elect to go with a gas fridge for other reasons. The gas fridges are silent, so some have tossed their noisy electric refrigerators in favor of a gas refrigerator. Some people are lucky enough to have a natural gas well located on their property and a natural gas refrigerator will greatly cut down on their energy costs. An electric refrigerator is the largest consumer of energy in a standard on grid household. Some not so fortunate people have a low tolerance to EMF (Electro Magnetic Fields) and have benefited greatly from the non-electric operation of a gas refrigerator.
One of the side benefits to being in sales of Gas Refrigerators is the stories you hear from customers. The logistics of getting a gas refrigerator to the remote site can be a story in itself. I have heard stories of the gas fridges being transported by sled across frozen lakes. By mule through the wilderness. By helicopter to the top of a look out tower. By boat or even row boat to the cabin. One fellow explained that he needed a fridge for his fish camp because he was tired of loading his chain saw on to his ATV and riding 25 miles to the glacier to cut off a chunk of ice for his refrigeration every few days.
Really nice blog create and share. Thanks nika-talana
