Warehouse Appliance talks about the short term use of gas refrigerators

Warehouse Appliance has the largest inventory of gas refrigerators and freezers, and the best warranty in the industry.
For a lot of people, propane gas refrigerators and freezers are limited to their seasonal properties or RVs and their use is defined by how often they find the time for a weekend getaway or short stay. With this kind of infrequent use, it's not uncommon for users to turn on their gas refrigerator upon arriving and shut it down as as a part of their closing up. Warehouse Appliance offers suggestions for short time use of your gas refrigerator.

The 21-cubic-foot EZ Freeze, which is the largest propane gas refrigerator, takes from 10 to 12 hours in a 70 to 80 degree environment to chill down when empty.

With that information in mind, Warehouse Appliance has these Do's and Don'ts for propane gas refrigerator users:

Chill Time
  • Do keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible
  • Do set the refrigerator temperature to the highest setting
  • Don't fill the refrigerator with foods or beverages that are not already frozen or, at least, cold

When the refrigerator is chilled
  • Do fill the refrigerator with frozen or chilled food first
  • Do fill the refrigerator with ambient temperature food at timed intervals and in smaller increments (10 lbs every two hours)
  • Don't load the refrigerator with ambient temperature beverages (or other liquids). Because of their density, liquids require the most energy to cool down
  • Do use multiple small containers to chill liquids rather than one large container
  • Do keep the temperature on the highest setting
  • Do refill the ice trays and replenish the beverages at bedtime
  • Do use an ice chest for drinks instead - especially if you're entertaining a lot of people.

Warehouse Appliance hopes these tips will help you get the most out of your propane gas refrigerator, extend its life, and leave you to enjoy all the benefits of getting out of town, even if only for a weekend getaway. Warehouse Appliance discusses venting gas refrigerators

Warehouse Appliance has the largest selection of gas refrigerators in the US, and the best warranty in the business.
One of the greatest concerns for those considering the purchase of a gas refrigerator is how it is vented. Is venting needed? What is the cost? Are there health concerns? Warehouse Appliance discusses venting gas refrigerators.

Venting for refrigerators provides the flow of fresh air directly into the propane burner box and causes the carbon monoxide from the burned propane to exhaust outside. Here are some things you need to know:

  • Venting may not even be necessary if the refrigerator is in a large or open space room. In this situation there should be windows and doors to the outside that get opened often. This allows for plenty of fresh air to be exchanged. Venting may not be completely necessary.

  • Many opt for venting anyway, so they won’t have to think about opening windows or doors.

  • Venting offers more efficiency in a cooling system. This is because heat dissipates more quickly and does not get the chance to pool or linger in the immediate area. And there is always fresh air to draw into the propane burner box.

  • Although carbon monoxide emitted from the propane combustion is in quantities that fall well below safety levels, we suggest that our customers install a carbon monoxide alarm in the room for added safety. Don't forget to change the batteries as needed!

  • An additional benefit of venting is that the heat from the exhaust is piped directly outside. During summer months, venting helps remove the increased temperature differential in the room that can be caused by the added heat source.

Warehouse Appliance wants you to be aware of the reasons to consider venting a gas refrigerator. If you are ready for a practical, affordable, reliable and quiet refrigerator, call Warehouse Appliance today at 928-636-1955. To learn more, please visit us at http://warehouseappliance.com.

Warehouse Appliance shares the benefits of a freezerless propane refrigerator

Warehouse Appliance is your source for the EZ Freeze gas refrigerator, with the best warranty in the business.
Have you ever gone to the grocery store and come back with more than what fits in your refrigerator? Or, in the summer months when you have lots of produce, do you have ample room in your refrigerator? Warehouse Appliance shares the benefits of a freezerless propane refrigerator.

If you are okay with having a chest freezer and a freezerless refrigerator, a freezerless propane refrigerator may be perfect for you. Some people don’t even need a freezer at all. This is ideal for those who like to eat fresh food only, or those that are satisfied with a chest freezer.

Pluses
The greatest benefit is the extra space. There is not a lot of wasted space on walls between the freezer and refrigerator. That opens up the refrigerator to store a lot more than your current side-by-side. Which brings up another point: energy savings. Chances are you will be using less energy on a chest freezer and freezerless refrigerator than a refrigerator-freezer combination.

Minuses
The downside is the lack of an ice dispenser. Other than that, there really is no other downside. If you are someone that would be interested in a freezerless freezer, chances are you already have a solution for freezing ice cubes or you don’t need one at all.

What is the cost?
Just like standard refrigerators, there is a wide range of prices with freezerless refrigerators. Also remember to add in the extra cost of a chest freezer if you do not already own one.

Warehouse Appliance wants you to be aware of the benefits of a freezerless propane refrigerator. If a freezerless refrigerator would fit the needs for your family by giving you more refrigerator space for fresh foods, consider a propane-powered freezerless refrigerator from Warehouse Appliance. Why not swap out your old conventional noisy fridge for a practical, affordable, reliable and quiet refrigerator? Call Warehouse Appliance today at 928-636-1955. The term “off-grid” has become a very common expression over the past few years. Much of it has to do with alarming current events. On the other hand, some people have just had enough of being a slave to the modern world. Whatever the reason, going off-grid is a trend growing like wildfire. Yet there are still many people who know little about it.

Let’s assume you’ve never heard anything about off-grid living. You live on the electric grid. If you have power running to your home from the community in which you live, then you are considered “on the grid.” Every time something goes wrong at the electric company, and they suffer a power outage, so do you.

Off-the-grid living means the opposite. Living “off the grid” means:
  • You would live with either no electricity or a self-sustained source of electricity, for example from a gas-powered generator.
  • You may choose to refrigerate with propane.
  • You would also either use an outhouse or a septic tank. You would have a water well or another water source nearby from which to collect water.
  • Many of those who are off the grid continue the concept into other areas of their lives, including being totally self-sustained by raising their own food.

Now that you have an idea of what it is to live off the grid, does a lifestyle of living off the grid interest you? If you’re considering purchasing an EZ Freeze propane gas refrigerator, the experienced staff at Warehouse Appliance is happy to assist you.
